Terms & Conditions

Your Responsibilities for your Holiday

You must be at the correct joining point as stated in your final travel documents at least ten (10) minutes prior to the departure time. If you are late, we may have left without you. We reserve the right to terminate without notice the holiday arrangements of any client whose behaviour is such that it is likely to cause distress, damage, danger or annoyance to others or to property. You must be fit for travel, and we accept no responsibility whatsoever if you are prevented from travelling by a person in authority who judges you to be unfit to travel through illness, inebriation or other valid cause.

 

Personal Injury (whilst participating in the arrangements made by us)

We accept responsibility for death, injury or illness caused by the negligent acts and/or omissions of our employees or agents in accordance with the requirements of Scottish Law.

 

Personal Injury (unconnected with arrangements made by us)

If any client suffers death, illness or injury arising out of activity which does not form part of the inclusive holiday arrangements or excursions arranged through us, we shall, at our discretion, offer advice, guidance and assistance to help you in resolving any claim you may have had against a third party, provided we are advised of the incident within 30 days of the occurrence. Where legal action is contemplated, our authority must be obtained prior to commencement of proceedings and be subject to your undertaking to assign any costs recovered to any benefits received under an appropriate insurance policy to ourselves. Our costs in respect of the above on behalf of your and your party shall not exceed £5,000 in total.

 

Our Price Guarantee

We shall only alter our price to you if forced by government action, fuel charges, ferry charges or other eventuality beyond our control. Even in these circumstances, we undertake to absorb up to 2% of the holiday price before imposing a surcharge. If a surcharge exceeds 10% of the total holiday cost, you will be entitled to cancel the holiday within 14 days of the issue date of the amended invoice and obtain a full refund of the holiday price.

 

Luggage

Limited to one piece per person plus one item of hand luggage.

 

Special Requests

We shall take note of any special requests e.g. diet and shall pass them on to our agents, hotels, etc. In most cases we are able to honour the preferences of our clients, but we cannot guarantee to fulfil all requirements. If something is absolutely essential to you, you must make this clear when you book so that we can check with our suppliers that your needs can be met. If we discover that they cannot be met, we shall decline your booking.

 

Travel Information and Documentation

Travel information and timings in preliminary literature are for information only and cannot be guaranteed. Confirmed details will be shown on our final travel documentation which will normally be sent to the lead booker's address as provided on the booking form approximately 14 days prior to departure.

 

Travel Insurance

We recommend that you are adequately insured from the date of your booking a holiday. Thus you can be covered for the costs of cancellation if you have to withdraw from your holiday prior to departure, as well as for loss, illness, etc. suffered during the tour. Please note that few credit card, bank account or household insurance schemes protect you from all the eventualities that dedicated travel insurance is designed to cover. Travel insurance regulations are changing all the time and we have set up our own special scheme with Travel and General Insurance Services who will guide you through the intricacies of pre-existing health conditions, etc. To obtain expert advice, and access to PIP Consulting concession rates, please do one of the following:

• Tick the appropriate box on the booking form or the online booking form to get Travel and General to contact you at their expense to discuss your requirements.

 

Your insurance premium is paid direct to Travel and General, not to PIP Consulting.

 

Privacy

We respect your privacy. We do not divulge names, addresses or other personal details to anyone not involved in providing your holiday. We do not sell addresses or other details to third parties. Databases and backups are maintained securely and in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Acts.
